These terms describe how Child Seat Pros currently operates as a marketplace. They are not legal advice and should be reviewed by counsel before public launch. A waiver cannot eliminate every theory of liability.
By creating an account or booking a Child Seat Pros session, you agree to these terms.
Child Seat Pros is a technology marketplace that helps caregivers find and book independent nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) for an In-Person CPST Car Seat Safety Session. Child Seat Pros is not the provider of CPST services and does not itself install, inspect, or certify child restraints.
CPSTs on Child Seat Pros are independent service providers, not Child Seat Pros employees. They control whether to accept a session, how they educate and assess using their professional judgment, and their own certification, equipment, and insurance.
An independent CPST may evaluate your current setup, review vehicle and child-restraint manufacturer instructions, discuss applicable law and national best practices (which can differ), and guide you through proper installation and use. Caregiver participation is expected. You remain responsible for continued proper installation and use after the session.
Child Seat Pros independently verifies that technicians listed as Certified CPSTs report a current certification issued by the applicable certifying organization. Child Seat Pros does not itself certify technicians or guarantee the quality, accuracy, safety, or outcome of services provided by independent technicians.
Certification is issued by the applicable certifying organization, not by Child Seat Pros. A current credential is evidence of training; it is not a guarantee that every future act will be error-free.Child Seat Pros does not use “Safe Kids-approved,” “Child Seat Pros-approved expert,” or similar endorsement language unless the certifying organization has authorized it.
Child-restraint use involves inherent risks. Manufacturer instructions, vehicle instructions, and applicable law control technical requirements. By booking, you acknowledge:
I understand Child Seat Pros is a marketplace connecting me with an independent nationally certified CPST. The technician provides education, assessment, and hands-on installation guidance. I will participate in the session, and I remain responsible for continued proper installation and use of the child restraint. Child Seat Pros verifies reported certification status; it does not itself certify technicians or guarantee the outcome of the session.
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. Customers and technicians are responsible for activity on their accounts.
A standard In-Person CPST Car Seat Safety Session is $60. Payment is due to the independent CPST at the appointment. The CPST currently keeps $40 of that amount (about 67% of the session fee); the remainder is Child Seat Pros's platform share. The app does not currently process card payments. Appointments must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations close to the appointment time may not be eligible for a refund once in-app payments are enabled.
Independent CPSTs are responsible for their own conduct, taxes, current certification, equipment, professional judgment, and (where they obtain it) insurance. They must not represent themselves asChild Seat Pros employees. They should follow current CPST curriculum, manufacturer instructions, applicable law, and accepted child-passenger-safety best practices. Child Seat Pros does not dictate a proprietary installation procedure.
Do not misuse the platform, harass other users, attempt to access other accounts, or use the service for anything other than legitimate CPST education sessions booked through Child Seat Pros.
The platform is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Child Seat Pros is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the marketplace, and is not liable for the professional acts, omissions, advice, or installations of independent CPSTs. This limitation does not affect rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Appointment, chat, and session records may be retained for safety, support, insurance, and legal purposes, including periods longer than typical consumer-account activity, as described in the Privacy Policy.
